 Little Foresters Crèche

 Our crèche is based in is own purpose built room within FCC. The room is situated within the secure Foundation Phase corridor, alongside Preschool and Nursery classes.
The crèche is led by Amanda, who is a qualified primary school teacher and Anne the deputy, a qualified nursery nurse. The crèche is also supported by Alison (Outreach Worker) or Chantelle (Centre Manager) during busy periods; both are well qualified.
Both staff have up to date child protection and food hygiene certificates as well having enhanced CRB clearance.
The crèche is registered with CSSIW and is registered for up to 16 children aged 0-8 in any session.

However, we work above CSSIW minimal standards of 1 member of staff to 3 children if under 2 years, 1 member to 4 children is aged 2-3 and 1-8 maximum ratio for over 3, to ensure the best possible quality of care to your child. We never have more than 8 children in the crèche without additional staff, no matter if they are above 3 years. We pride ourselves on an outstanding care and guidance to your precious little ones.

We have a large variety of toys and games to stimulate and inspire every child; toys are rotated each session and are set out with each individual’s child stage of development in mind. All toys are carefully sterilised at the end of each session.
The crèche also has an adjoining changing/washroom to keep your little
ones nice and dry and to promote personnel hygiene from a very young age.
Children will be given a healthy snack and drink during their session and fresh drinking water is freely available.
The crèche is free to parents undertaking training courses where parents stay on site and where possible volunteer placements within FCC.
Parents are welcome to come and have a look around the crèche and meet the staff, we understand that it can be distressing leaving your child for the first time so you are welcome to have a free short trial session if this is the first time you have left your child, or why not come along to stay and play and familiarise yourself and your child with the room and staff.
