We have a small internet café on site within Forest Children’s Centre. We have four PC’s linked to a colour printer.
Primarily, the suite is for parents to use to access job search sites, create cv’s, training advice, to complete course work or to access online learning. In all of the above cases the computers can be used free of charge.
Currently a group of parents are completing The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) using the internet café suite.
The suite is also used to support the Employability Skills Program held in the Centre.
We ask that any children under 16 are supervised by a parent or teacher during their use of the computers and that E-Safety guidance is followed. To find out more about E-Safety, click here...
We also have another 6 laptops in our training room that can be accessed if the training room is not in use. These are used on a for Job Club also.
During busy periods computers can be pre-booked with Kay at the front desk. |
