How do I navigate and how can I find the information I need?
The Forest Children’s Centre website is developing quickly into a large web site with many pages and features.
To find information quickly, you can use our ‘Google’ powered site search which can find information on our website with a single word that you type in! The site search box is available on most pages, such as on the right!
Our site map, which lists most of the pages on our website which can be accessed directly, can be found here...
Moving around the different pages is called "navigating". Links to our different pages are via the big green buttons at the top of each page, with the button of the section you are in highlighted in orange. The links in the smaller buttons underneath will change depending on which section of the web site you are visiting.
Throughout the site, links to different pages can be in the form of words or pictures. If words link to different pages, they will be blue in colour, a bit like this... (this is not a real link, just an example!)
You can find out where you are on the site by looking at the top of each page under the green buttons in the ‘You are here’ bar. For example, the top of this page shows that, from the ‘Home’ page, you have travelled to the ‘Help’ pages and then the ‘Navigation’ pages. This bar can also be used to navigate to pages in the section you are in by clicking the words in blue.
At any time, clicking on the Forest Children’s Centre badge at the top left hand corner of every page, or the Forest Children’s Centre title at the top of every page, will return you to the home page.
