Doing a search using our Google Custom Search is easy. Simply type one or more search terms (the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find) into the search box and hit “Enter” on your keyboard, or press the “Search” button.
Search Words
Choosing the right search terms is the key to finding the information you need. Start with the obvious. If you're looking for information about our services, try typing ‘services’.
But, it's often better to use more words or a phrase. If you would like some careers advice, you'll do better with typing ‘careers advice’ rather than ‘careers or ‘advice’ by themselves. Typing ‘careers advice help’ may produce even better (or, depending on your perspective, worse) results!
Phrase Searches
Sometimes you'll only want results that include an exact phrase. In this case, simply put quotation marks around your search words. For example ‘school holidays’. This will find information with school holidays in it, not just school and not just holidays.
Capital Letters
When searching, do not worry about capital letters. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for room hire, Room Hire, or even rOoM hiRe will all give the same results.
Spidering
The search works because Google searches or ‘spiders’ the Forest Children’s Centre website and stores all the words and pictures it finds. However, the site is not ‘spidered’ everyday, so because the site is updated often, very new information and pages may not appear in the search straight away.
